Apply the Sudoku Lens: One Square at a Time
Have you ever had so much to do that you couldn’t seem to get anything done? I’ve had those days when my to-do list feels a mile long, everything seems equally important, and I can’t even figure out where to begin.
One day, while feeling particularly overwhelmed, I started thinking about how I approach a Sudoku puzzle. I don’t look at the empty grid and try to solve all 81 squares at once. I look for the next square I can solve. Just one. Then another. And gradually, the puzzle starts coming together.
That’s when I realized I could apply the same idea to life. When everything feels overwhelming, I don’t need to figure out the entire day, finish every project, or solve every problem. I just need to find the next obvious square.
I made this little reminder for myself, and I’m sharing it in case you could use it too. Print it, hang it somewhere you’ll see it, and remember: You don’t have to solve the entire grid today. Just fill the next obvious square.
